🐾 Do you accept intact dogs?
We will accept well-behaved intact males that do not mark indoors. We only accept intact females under 6 months of age. We do not accept dogs that have had their first heat or are pregnant.
🐾 Do you not accept certain breeds?
No. We believe all dogs are individuals and do not discriminate based on breed. However, we are unable to accommodate wolf or coyote hybrid breeds.
🐾 Do you supply food?
Because dogs’ stomachs are highly sensitive to stress and environmental changes, we require all owners to pack their dog’s food from home. If food is forgotten, a $10 per night feeding charge will apply.
🐾 What vaccinations do you require?
All dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccination. We recommend Bordetella, Parvovirus, and Distemper. Vaccines must be given greater than 14 days from the time of booking. This ensures they are monitored at home for any reactions or illness.
🐾 Do you accept dogs with complex medical issues?
Due to the stress of boarding, we may not be the best fit for dogs needing end-of-life care, uncontrolled seizures, or advanced conditions.
🐾 Do you accept dogs that are not house-trained?
No. All dogs must be fully house-trained.
🐾 What is included in my dog’s stay?
Safe accommodations, daily exercise, enrichment, home-made treats, personalized walks, and attentive care. Medication administration is included if needed. All suites have luxury bedding and further padding is provided for elderly dogs or those with joint concerns. Attaboy Academy is available with no additional costs. All short-haired dogs are eligible for a free exit bath after five nights, with long-haired breeds eligible for a 50% discount after the same duration stay.
🐾 Can my dogs stay together?
Yes, dogs from the same household may stay together if compatible. Dogs must be able to eat and sleep together without conflict

🐾 What should I bring?
Your dog’s food and any medications with instructions. All items must be labeled. All dogs must have a leash with harness or collar when entering the facility. Please do not bring personal items like beds, blankets, or toys. Our supply ensures all items have been cleaned with veterinary grade disinfectant prior to entering our facility.
Some dogs may behave differently while boarding, and items from home may become a hazard if chewed.
🐾 But my dog REALLY LOVES his toys! Can I bring his favorite?
We completely understand wanting to send your dog with their favorite toy. However, for safety and sanitation reasons, we do not allow outside toys in our facility.
At Attaboy Farm, all toys are carefully selected for durability and safety, and are sanitized using veterinary-grade cleaners between each use. Toys are only provided during supervised play to eliminate any risk of choking or obstruction, ensuring your dog’s safety at all times.
Upon check-in, each dog is assigned their own set of toys for the duration of their stay, including a rope toy (perfect for interactive play and our tug-of-war center) and a ball designed with an emergency airway feature. These items remain exclusively with your dog and are thoroughly sanitized again after check-out before being reassigned.
This system allows us to provide safe, enriching play while maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and consistency for every guest.
🐾 Do you administer medications?
Yes, with clear instructions.
🐾 What happens in an emergency?
We will seek emergency veterinary care if needed (Pets ER). Costs are the owner's responsibility. Staff is certified in canine CPR and first aid, and has gone through tactical K-9 training
🐾 What happens if my dog becomes overly stressed or becomes sick during their stay?
If your dog shows signs of illness, we will contact you right away. If needed, we will seek veterinary care (including after-hours emergency care) to ensure your pet’s safety. If your dog is overly stressed despite calming techniques, we will contact you or your emergency contact. Early pick up may be required if we feel a dog's health is in danger due to stress.
🐾 Do you accept aggressive dogs?
No, for safety reasons we do not accept any dogs with human aggression.
🐾 Check-in and check-out times?
Check-in: 2–6 PM. Check-out: 7–9 AM.
🐾 Late pickup?
$1 per minute. After one hour, a full night charge applies.
🐾 Do you offer grooming?
Yes. Stays of 5+ nights include a complimentary EXIT bath, nail trim and blow-dry for all short-haired breeds (50% discount for long-haired breeds). We offer full grooming when availability allows, for boarding clientele only. We offer nail trims and luxury baths to all outside customers.
🐾Do you have any services for high-energy breeds?
Yes. We offer 20-minute treadmill training / runs for $20, at the owner's request
🐾What if I need to cancel?
All reservations require a 20% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Cancellations more than 60 days prior to the boarding date are refundable, less the deposit. Cancellations within 72 hours of boarding date receive a kennel credit valid for 12 months. No-shows or cancellations less than 72 hours from booking forfeit all payments. HOLIDAY BOOKINGS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IF LESS THAN 60 DAYS NOTICE.
🐾 Do you offer tours?
Yes, scheduled tours are encouraged. Please see our booking calendar for "Meet & Greet" time slots.
🐾 How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible due to limited capacity, especially around holidays.
🐾Do you offer doggy daycare?
At Attaboy Farm, we have intentionally chosen not to offer traditional doggy daycare. Our approach is centered on providing a calm, structured, and enriching environment that prioritizes each dog’s overall well-being—both mentally and physically.
While daycare can be a good fit for some dogs, large group settings often lead to overstimulation, increased stress, and, in some cases, the development of undesirable behaviors or increased risk of injury. We believe dogs thrive best with clear boundaries, positive reinforcement, and meaningful human interaction in a more controlled setting.
Instead, we offer a more thoughtful alternative through our Attaboy Academy—a structured, small-group enrichment program available to boarding guests. Participation is carefully evaluated to ensure compatibility, safety, and a positive experience for every dog involved.

🐾 Do you offer day-boarding only?
While we are just getting started as a facility, we do not currently offer day-boarding. This is something we are considering for the future, depending on demand. Please feel free to message us on Facebook or send us an email if this is something that you would like to see offered in the future!
🐾 Why are your drop-off and pick-up times strict?
At Attaboy Farm, our structured scheduling is intentional and plays a key role in the quality of care we provide. As a home-based, family-operated facility, each arrival and departure requires dedicated staff attention and temporarily shifts focus away from the dogs in our care.
We prioritize a calm, consistent environment where dogs can settle, feel secure, and thrive in a predictable routine. Frequent interruptions can create unnecessary stress—not only for our guests, but for the overall flow of the day.
Designated drop-off and pick-up windows also allow us to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and preparation. This includes fully sanitizing suites between guests, rotating and disinfecting enrichment items, and ensuring take-home baths are completed as close to departure time as possible.
By honoring these scheduled timeframes, we’re able to provide a seamless, low-stress experience and uphold the elevated level of care that defines Attaboy Farm.
🐾 What makes Attaboy Farm different?
Attaboy Farm is an all-inclusive, low-volume boarding experience designed for quality—not quantity.
“All-inclusive” means your dog’s care is never dictated by add-ons or extra fees. Walks, enrichment, treats, medication administration, one-on-one time, and appropriate space are all part of their stay. We don’t believe in charging more for what a dog needs—what they need is what they get.
Our home-based setting allows for individualized care, structured routines, and a calm, peaceful environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. We focus on meaningful human interaction and enrichment—so your dog can truly relax and thrive.
🐾 Can my dog get "Kennel Cough" while boarding?
“Kennel cough” is the common term for Bordetella, a highly contagious respiratory infection that dogs can be exposed to anywhere—not just in boarding facilities. Much like a child picking up a cold at daycare, dogs can contract Bordetella in any social environment, including parks, vet offices, grooming salons, and even neighborhood walks.
While Bordetella is typically not dangerous in healthy dogs, it is easily spread, which is why vaccination is strongly recommended for all social dogs.
At Attaboy Farm, we take extensive precautions to reduce risk, including:
• No outside items permitted (to prevent cross-contamination)
• Use of commercial, veterinary-grade disinfectants such as Kennelsol and Rescue
• UV sanitization for air filtration and all grooming tools after each dog
• Continuous, thorough cleaning of all kennel areas and keeping a low-humidity environment with a commercial dehumidifier
Despite every precaution, exposure can never be completely eliminated anywhere dogs interact. Our goal is to minimize risk as much as possible while providing a safe, clean, and controlled environment for every guest.
🐾 What safety measures are in place?
Your dog’s safety is our top priority at Attaboy Farm. We provide 24/7 on-site supervision, meaning your dog is never left alone.
With a dedicated background in emergency services, we understand that emergencies can happen at any time. Our facility is designed to respond quickly and effectively, with secure outdoor pens available for safe evacuation if ever needed.
We have multiple smoke, carbon monoxide, and natural gas detectors throughout the facility, along with indoor and outdoor cameras monitoring the property at all times with AI-assisted support. For added peace of mind, the owners live just seconds away in the attached home.
Our building is intentionally designed with safety in mind—HDPE wall panels for durability and sanitation, elevated electrical outlets, and double-gated entry points for all doors and outdoor play areas.
We are also in active communication with local EMS and fire services to ensure a coordinated response in the event of an emergency. The facility is prewired for a full generator system, with installation planned in the near future to further enhance reliability and preparedness.
